If you use a pedometer, you've probably done this before.
I did it again.
I put my pedometer in my pants pocket and did the laundry.
I heard some kind of rattling sound, like something hard was spinning.
Oh! Could it be! I thought, and pulled it out, and sure enough…
But with old flip phones, and car smart keys being the worst, how many times have pedometers been used?
So, being an experienced user, I immediately wrapped it (the object with water in the LCD screen and no display) in a dry towel and threw it into the double-tray spin tub, and started spin-drying right away.
My beloved double-tray washing machine is a real lifesaver in situations like these.
And lo and behold! The LCD screen was restored and it was back in working order as a pedometer!
I was so happy, it felt like I'd received a golden axe from the goddess.
I thought about using it as is, but just to be safe, I decided to disassemble it and place it in a warm place in the glass furnace to dry.
Sigh.
